I’m starting a new blog series today where I share some of the things I’m reading. The topics will vary and I may not agree with everything in the book, but if I’m blogging about them, I’m recommending them to you.
I first heard of Steal Like an Artist: 10 things nobody told you about being creative at a songwriting seminar by songwriter / publisher Jayme Thompson. She mentioned how author Austin Kleon’s thesis that computers are great for editing work, but terrible for creating them. I was intrigued.
I love this little book. It’s full of quippy, inspiring quotes and doodles about going about an intentionally creative lifestyle. I like to read just a few pages at time, kind of like “thoughts for the day.” I plan to re-read this one again and again.
